There are many unseen processes behind a pair of shoes to ensure the quality
Gradually and carefully - made shoes have an unique soul with 100% real leather (cow leather or sheep leather). The process of making a pair of shoes BY HAND is more complex than many people think. The shoes we make are different from other shoes on the market (made by factory machines). The shoes in our shop are made carefully from the very beginning, from the selection of the materials (upper, lining, midsole, outsole) to the highest standards. Explore more in our story.
Beyond Design: The Hidden Art of Crafting the Perfect Shoe Tree
I kept improved the shoes in all the ways every year. Because every time I release an updated version, I will stop selling the old version even though Backlogged inventory and lost a lot of money. I want to ensure my customers always receive the best and most perfect shoes. So there are mountains of defective pieces stay there that I'm not happy with. In my studio, I've made countless shoe trees, which are essentially the soul of a shoe. Picture two identical pairs of shoes—same design, same materials—but when you wear them, they feel entirely different. I always put a lot of time in developing shoe trees!

The Hourglass of Patience
Inside the quiet workshop, time flows like sand through an hourglass. Each tiny figure within represents a craftsman — stitching, shaping, polishing, and perfecting every pair of WoodchuckSato Tabi shoes by hand. Beyond the glass, Kiwicat waits patiently, dreaming of the moment they’ll slip into their finished pair. Every grain of sand carries effort — long nights, careful hands, and silent wishes to deliver something truly special.
Santa’s Workshop of Tabi Dreams
As snow gently fell outside, Santa stood in his quiet workshop — not filled with toys this time, but with rows of handmade WoodchuckSato Tabi shoes waiting to be wrapped. Around him, tiny helpers zipped through the air, each carrying a little sock in a different color — reminders of every customer waiting patiently around the world.
