I absolutely love my shoes! I went with my usual size and am very happy that I did as they are a bit of a tight fit. I probably could have gone up a size, but they fit great and are very comfortable. There were some issues with the shipping which I cannot fault anybody for, but customer service was super helpful and gave me all the info I needed to resolve the issue. All in all, I am super satisfied with my shoes and would highly recommend Woodchuck Sato to anyone looking for high quality leather tabis
So this review comes about two months after having received the shoes (which took just two weeks to arrive), and I'm incredibly confident in saying that it's a true investment. I started wearing them the day I got them, and did not need to break them in. The leather itself is quite malleable and conforms to the shape of your foot. That being said, if you have chosen the right size. The team was super helpful in communicating the sizing to me after I made a mistake ordering a 42, and helped me to receive a 41. I would recommend measuring your foot beforehand as they fit quite true to size if you have arched feet. A friend of mine who shares the same foot-size as me, however has flat feet, tried them on and it was quite big on her. I would recommend sizing down half a size, should this be the case for you.
The pictures on the left were taken on the day I got them and the pictures on the right were taken about one month into wearing them for say 5/7 days of the week. They genuinely have stood the test of time in terms of durability and comfort - I've even danced in them for four hours straight - and I am quite stoked to say that I will be getting another pair of tabis in the next couple months.
I was nervous about this purchase initially, though when I received the shoes, I knew that I had a perfect pair of Mary Janeโs for spring and summer. The smooth leather is beautiful in the craftsmanship as well done. I look forward to wearing these all the time. Absolutely no foot pain when I wear them for eight or more hours.
