Patent Leather
Patent leather features a glossy coated surface, while crinkled patent leather has a distinctive textured finish. Both require gentle cleaning to preserve their appearance.
Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to gently remove surface dust and marks, then dry with a clean cloth. Avoid excessive rubbing and abrasive brushes that may scratch or dull the surface.
Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, harsh solvents and ordinary leather conditioning products that may affect the coated finish. Keep patent leather away from prolonged contact with dark or heavily dyed materials, particularly when storing light-coloured shoes, as colour transfer may be difficult to remove.
Furthermore, handle crinkled finishes gently to avoid unnecessary stress on the coated surface.
